Huwan No 1Aluminium windows and doors for a villa development in Ruili Yunnan China

Huwan No.1 is a low-rise villa development in Ruili, Yunnan, a humid monsoon-climate city on China's border with Myanmar. YOOAN supplied the window and door systems for its villas: 120 ultra-narrow framed windows, 68 folding double doors and a set of sliding doors, all with dark grey frames.

Project highlights

  1. The same sightline on every opening

One narrow frame width runs across bedroom windows, stair openings and full-height doors on all three storeys, and does not widen as the openings get larger.

  2. One frame colour against three claddings

Dark grey frames sit against light stone, beige textured panels and small-format grey tile, and the colour matches on every elevation — because every opening came from one manufacturer.

  3. A low step to the terrace

The ground-floor sliding doors meet the terrace paving with a low threshold instead of a raised sill, so the step from inside to outside is minimal.
