Hotel Renovation Lyon FranceAnodised grey thermal break sliding units for a hotel renovation in Lyon France

This is a hotel in Lyon, France, renovated floor by floor. YOOAN supplied 104 thermal-break sliding units in two batches — 48 units (184 m²) and 56 units (353 m²) — in a custom anodised grey with laminated, argon-filled insulating glass, made to the hotel's existing openings and installed by the client's local team from YOOAN's installation drawings.

Project highlights

  1. A custom anodised colour, matched across two batches

The client wanted an anodised — not powder-coated — grey to suit the building. YOOAN’s profile supplier produced the colour to order, and the second batch, delivered eight months after the first, matches the first.

  2. Laminated, argon-filled glass for a city-centre hotel

Every unit is glazed with 5 mm + 1.14 PVB + 5 mm laminated glass, a 12 mm argon-filled cavity and 5 mm tempered ultra-clear glass — quieter rooms and safety glazing on the street side, with the K-value the client’s specification asked for.

  3. Installed by the local team from YOOAN drawings

No factory technician was needed on site. YOOAN supplied the packing list, large-format drawings and installation work drawings, and the hotel’s contractor fitted the units floor by floor between guests.

Questions we are asked about this hotel renovation in Lyon

Talk to our project team
Do YOOAN windows meet European requirements?

The 65 series sliding system holds an OTC conformity certificate (VCP-12275) and the client’s own certification requirement was confirmed before the order. Ask for the documents that apply to your market on the Resources page.

Can you match a specific anodised colour?

Yes. Anodised colours are produced to order by YOOAN’s profile supplier and confirmed on a sample before production. Allow extra lead time compared with a standard powder-coat colour.

How long did production take?

About 35 days per batch from signed drawings and deposit, followed by sea freight to France. The last units left the factory in June 2026.
